Elevator banks were carefully crafted to extenuate their shape, undergoing a rigorous reductive exercise.
Guests and staff enter into a light filled elevator lobby and introduced to a subtly milled marble, a reoccurring material in the project.
A carefully crafted custom marble desk greets guests, while anchoring the atrium volume.
Stairs in the project allow for staff to navigate the vertical urban campus, sparking casual conversations, and encouraging movement.
Bespoke in-suite pantries provide a refined break area for staff. Large columns in the space are clad in mirrors to minimize their visual mass and provide dynamic views to the Manhattan streets beyond. Ceiling are reduced to their bare minimum while maintaining high performance.
Ceiling soar above clients and guests, providing a much needed relief from the short slab heights of the building. Custom furniture pieces from Unifor and strategic placement of mirrors in the space lighten large volumes and adding bespoke touches to the space.
All staff floors have perimeter circulation, giving the best view of the city to the masses. The buildings massive columns disintegrate into the city with mirrors, adding moments of surprise as users move through corridors. Ceilings were maxed out to deck to provide as much height as possible. Linear lights line the coffers, providing functionality while keeping surfaces to the bare minimum.
All suites entries come enter into pantries first allowing for a hub for socialization and a place to refresh before returning to work.
Conference rooms dot the plan, allowing for quick touch bases for teams.
Purple woven leather walls add moments of color and visual intrigue, while maintaining high acoustic performance. Custom furniture pieces expand the size of the room through reflection.
Custom Unifor workstations provide flexibility to workers with a sit-to-stand functionality and acoustic/health privacy for the busy workplace. A custom designed Milliken carpet emphasizes the project motifs and design moves.
A terrace overlooking Park Ave. allows for a 'casual' outdoor meeting and a quick escape for staff from the workplace.
